Services FAQs
General Information
Do you provide virtual screenings?

Yes. We want every mom in North Carolina to have access to support, no matter where they live. If you aren’t able to come in for an in-person PMADs screening, you’re welcome to reach out and schedule a virtual screening instead.

We use several evidence-based approaches to support your healing, including DBT, ACT, CPT, IPT and cognitive-behavioral tools. Somatic Techniques. EMDR resourcing and OCD specifici treatment like ERP and I-CBT are also incorporated into treatment

Do you take insurance?
-
Yes. We take the following insurances: Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, Magellan, and Tricare. If you’re uninsured or experiencing financial hardship, we offer a limited number of sliding-scale and pro bono spots in our IOP, with special consideration for individuals from marginalized communities.

What happens after I finish the Intensive Outpatient Program?
-
When your symptoms have improved and you feel more confident using your coping skills, you’ll “graduate” from the IOP. Most clients return to their regular outpatient therapist or provider. If you don’t already have one or want to explore options, we’ll help connect you with someone who fits your needs.

How Long Does the IOP Last?
-
You can start the IOP whenever you need it—there are no fixed start or end dates. Most clients attend for 8–10 weeks. By the time you finish, you’ll typically notice improvements in mood, increased confidence in managing stress, and a greater sense of hope about parenting and daily life.

How Does the Virtual IOP Work?
-
If you live anywhere in North Carolina, you can join our virtual IOP. Sessions take place online three days a week for three hours using a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform.

Can I Bring My Baby to IOP Sessions?
-
To help you focus on your treatment, babies don’t stay with moms during in-person IOP sessions. However, we offer on-site childcare—Little Anchors—during your session times. Childcare costs are $25/day for one child or $40/day for two children. If the cost feels like a barrier, we offer sliding-scale and pro bono options. Childcare fees aren’t covered by insurance, but you can check whether your HSA/FSA allows reimbursement.
