Kennedy Fipps, MSW, LCSWA
Program Therapist

Kennedy Fipps (she/her) is a recent MSW graduate from North Carolina State University. She completed her master's-level practicum with Anchor Perinatal Wellness and is excited to join the team as a program therapist with her Associate License in Clinical Social Work (LCSWA). Kennedy's passion for serving the perinatal population flourished while working as a DONA and Birth Behind Bars (BBB) trained birth doula. Her dedication and attunement to providing empowering and intentional care for clients is evident in her commitment to creating warm, client-centered therapeutic spaces.
As a queer-identifying woman, Kennedy is a strong advocate for accessible, safe, and inclusive mental health care for the LGBTQ+ community. Embracing the intersectionalities of one's identity is at the core of Kennedy's developing therapeutic style. She uses evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches such as ACT, DBT, and somatics to support her clients' growth.
Kennedy has experience working with the unhoused and individuals in recovery at Healing Transitions in Raleigh, executing re-entry simulations for community groups, and serving survivors of sexual violence with the organization Our Wave. Through these experiences, Kennedy has become a firm believer in using the power of one's story to develop confidence, self-love, and self-acceptance. In her free time, Kennedy enjoys trying out new recipes, spending time with her two cats, traveling, listening to comedic podcasts, and bingeing a good Netflix show!
