Francheska, LCSWA
Program Therapist

Francheska (she/her) is a licensed clinical social worker associate (LCSWA) who earned her BA in Child Development from Sacramento State, her Masters in Education from UC Davis and MSW from Aurora University. With a passion and understanding for the importance of mental health, Francheska pivoted from being a teacher in the classroom, to continue to serve outside of the classroom beginning her social work career in order to support new parents drawing from her educational experiences and personal experience as a mother of two!
Francheska has worked with children and families across a multitude of settings, including educational, psychiatric, pediatric hospice, and the foster care system. She has worked alongside teenage mothers, assisting them and providing resources that allowed them to receive a high school education while balancing motherhood and other life transitions. When pursuing her MSW, Francheska’s capstone project focused on Black Maternal Mortality and Mental Health with a primary focus on healthcare access, intersectionality, and its impact on treatment services.

In her free time, she can be found with a Kindle loaded up with books or Spanish flashcards as she begins her journey towards becoming bilingual. She also enjoys spending quality time with her children and her partner, making new memories here in North Carolina.
